Randy Moss Asks For Prayers As He Battles New ‘Internal’ Health Issues

If you were among the millions who watched ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown, you perhaps saw Randy Moss, a former NFL player and now an analyst, sporting some Ray-Ban sunglasses on TV. Although everyone thought he was just being stylish, fickle Moss, who appeared on the red carpet, explained why he acted like that.

Moss has got what he described as ‘something internal’ inferring health problems that have made him to wear the glasses in order to do so.

Randy Moss Addresses Fans

In a heartfelt Instagram Live message, Moss shared a brief update on his condition:

“I just wanted to unveil something to all of you,” he said. “To the other men who were watching Sunday NFL Countdown and everyone going through the stress of the holiday season, I’ve had an internal struggle going on.”

He did not explain the details of how he was feeling but pointed out at his 47 years of age, the condition affected him. Last week, viewers took to social media to comment that Moss has yellowy eyes—a clear sign of some heath issues.

Jaundice of the eyes can be caused some diseases such as liver diseases, diabetes, immune system diseases, thyroid gland diseases or lack of nutrients. But none of them has been confirmed by Moss to be applicable to him.

A Request for Prayers

While Moss has kept the specifics of his health struggle private, he was clear in asking for support:

“What I just want all the people out there who are praying to shower us, myself and my family with blessings during these testing times,” he added. Some folks said they saw it in my eyes last week and let me tell you I have a struggle. That’s why if I am wearing sunglasses next time on Sunday NFL Countdown it will be because of this condition.”

Despite the challenges, Moss remains optimistic:

I’m surrounded by great doctors, and I have an incredible family. To all the boys out there, don’t forget to take your medical tests, both for general health and blood test regardless of your age. We’ll get through it. Thank you for the prayers; please keep them coming – God bless.”
